Background
Since winning both first prize and the audience award at Operalia in 2002, Italian bel canto soprano Carmen Giannattasio has won acclaim around the world, as much for her brilliant stage presence as her thrillingly virtuoso performances. Before taking to the Royal Opera House main stage to sing Elisabetta I in Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, Carmen discusses her international career and sings some of her favourite arias in a special evening recital.
